My entire career has been a culmination of home. I always knew that my chosen career path would need to be equal parts creative and business (hello, merchandising!). It clicked for me when I took a fashion merchandising course in high school. My teacher was a former buyer and I knew that’s exactly what I wanted to do.Since 2011, I’ve worked for entrepreneurs, small, family owned companies and large fortune 500s in the furniture merchandising business. I’ve partnered with over 75 upholstery, casegoods and decor manufacturers, stateside and internationally, to procure highly sought-after products. I’ve led teams, traveled to countless industry trade shows, studied trends, and even applied my career learnings to my own business. After all, a key trait of a successful merchant is having an entrepreneurial spirit. Currently, as a sourcing & procurement specialist, I’m offering my home furnishings expertise to scaling interior design and home decor businesses seeking strategies around sourcing, procurement, product development and vendor relations. I’m Brandi Oldham, the founder of Talent Career Coaching and Brandiwine Interior Design, two businesses built around one idea: you deserve to have a life that brings out the very best in you. Jennifer Fordham, DSA, RIDQC, ASID Associate, leads Pembrook Interiors, a McLean, VA based full-service interior design firm. Pembrook Interiors designs environments that invite clients to live (or work) intentionally—in every room, every day. Our approach brings out the best in existing pieces and weaves in well-made new elements to create spaces that feel both familiar and fresh. Graduating with a BS degree in Architecture, cum laude, and a Diploma of Higher Education in Conservation & Sustainability from Griffiths College, Dublin, Francis has worked as a Design Architect for Aidea Philippines (one of the top 100 architectural firms in the world). He was later seconded to Brussels, working with Procter & Gamble (P&G) Architecture & Design for their Europe, Middle East and African portfolio (as architect, co-project manager, brand specialist and graphic designer). He's now based in Co. Limerick, Ireland, having previously worked for a top interior specialist in the Ireland and now practices as an interior and architectural designer, graphic designer and visual artist, as well as working in millinery and jewellery design.
