Owner and Manager at Van Matre Construction
My name is Brady Van Matre, and I'm the owner of Van Matre Construction. I started this company back in September of 2001, and we've been focused on one thing ever since: permanent foundation repair and drainage solutions for homeowners across Colorado's Front Range. I didn't start out in foundation work. I spent years building and remodeling homes in the Boulder area, everything from houses built in the 1870s to brand new construction. That background gave me something you can't get from a textbook. When you've taken apart and put back together homes across every era, you develop an eye for how structures behave over time and, more importantly, how they fail. I realized early on that my strengths were in the structural side of things. The foundations, the framing, the concrete. That's where I belong, and that's where I stayed. By 2013, we stopped doing general contracting altogether and committed fully to structural and drainage solutions. That decision was driven by engineers. Structural engineers we'd worked with in other capacities started sending us their toughest repair projects, and we realized this was the perfect fit for our skills and our standards. Today, we specialize in limited-access micropiles and drilled piers, which are the gold standard for foundation stabilization in Colorado soils. We don't install push piers. We don't do wall anchors. We've seen what happens when other companies use those methods here, and it's not something we're willing to put our name on. We have never had a callback from a moving pile or pier. Not one. Our team of 22 includes field estimators who have been with me for over 20 years. They made the transition from general contracting right alongside me, and that depth of experience is one of our greatest strengths. We work closely with independent structural engineers, executing their designs precisely and without shortcuts. I'm not going to tell you foundation repair is cheap or convenient. It's neither. But your home is probably your biggest investment, and it deserves the best technology available to protect it. We don't require deposits, we don't use sales pressure, and we don't cut corners. We diagnose the problem thoroughly, explain exactly what's going on, and fix it permanently so you can move on with your life. We're Front Range people. We live here, we work here, and when we see you at the grocery store, we want you to smile and shake our hand. That's the standard we hold ourselves to.

Founder & Renovation Consultant (Dubai) at Revive Hub Renovations Dubai
I am the Founder of Revive Hub Renovations Dubai, a company built on the belief that people should understand a renovation clearly before they commit to it.⁶ My work is focused on helping Dubai homeowners and property investors make informed decisions around renovation scope, budgeting, design direction, and execution readiness across villas, apartments, and value driven residential upgrades. With years of hands on exposure to the realities of renovation in Dubai, I have seen that the biggest cost is often not construction itself, but uncertainty before construction begins. That insight shaped our First See Then Pay model at Revive Hub. We created it to bring more transparency, more confidence, and more decision clarity into a process that too often feels rushed, vague, or overly sales driven. I believe clients deserve to see where their money is going, understand what is practical, and move forward with greater control. My role is not simply to discuss finishes or timelines. It is to help clients think better before work starts, by identifying what adds value, what reduces risk, what improves real usability, and what can be executed responsibly in the real world. In a city like Dubai, where expectations are high and mistakes are expensive, that clarity matters. For me, renovation is not just about transforming property. It is about building trust early, aligning vision with execution, and helping people make decisions they feel confident about long before the first day on site.

Founder at Verified Remediation
I'm the founder of Verified Remediation, a directory of 19,600+ licensed mold professionals across all 50 states. I built it because most homeowners can't tell which contractor is actually licensed and insured versus the ones with five-star reviews and no state license number on file. The difference matters. I can speak to what mold remediation actually costs, how licensing rules vary state-to-state, what to look for when hiring, and what we're seeing in Florida specifically. It's the country's mold capital.
Founder & Partner at Crescostone
Raleigh is the Founder and Partner of Crescostone, a Tennessee-based concrete contractor with over 20 years of experience in residential and commercial concrete construction. Since 2002, Crescostone has completed thousands of projects ranging from decorative stamped patios and driveways to structural slabs, foundations, and complex site work. In addition to structural integrity and drainage expertise, Kay specializes in exterior concrete design—blending function with aesthetics to create cohesive outdoor spaces that enhance architecture, property value, and long-term durability. She works closely with homeowners and project managers to ensure proper grading, water management, and visual integration with the home’s overall design. Kay frequently speaks on the hidden risks of improper concrete installation, including water intrusion, foundation damage, and mold issues caused by poor slope planning and site preparation—mistakes often made when design and engineering are treated separately. Under her leadership, Crescostone has built a reputation for craftsmanship, accountability, and standing behind its work. Kay advocates for higher standards in the concrete industry and educates homeowners on how to avoid costly installation and design failures. Her expertise includes: • Residential and commercial concrete construction • Site grading and drainage planning • Exterior concrete design and architectural integration • Decorative stamped and stained concrete • Foundation and slab installation • Contractor quality control and industry standards Kay provides expert insight for media on construction quality, drainage planning, outdoor design strategy, contractor vetting, and small business operations in the skilled trades.

Founder at Right This Way Flooring
I'm Chris Edwards, co-founder and Head of Installs at Right This Way Flooring in Boulder, Colorado. My path into flooring wasn't a straight line. I started my career in FP&A, studying marketing and finance in college, then spending years in spreadsheets at companies like Zayo Group. I was good at the work. But I knew I didn't want to stay on the corporate track forever. In October 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic, I quit my job at Deloitte to go find a small business to buy. Most people thought I was out of my mind. I found Affordable Flooring Warehouse in Steamboat Springs, bought it in early 2021, and knew almost nothing about flooring. I figured it out the hard way. Made mistakes, put one foot in front of the other, and eventually grew the business into the largest flooring operation in Steamboat. We completed over 1,500 jobs before I sold it in late 2024. That experience taught me something I couldn't have learned in a classroom: where flooring companies actually fail their customers. It's almost never the product. It's the install. It's the communication. It's what happens after someone signs the contract and a stranger shows up at their house with tools. In early 2026, I opened Right This Way Flooring next to McGuckin Hardware in Boulder. I grew up in Niwot. This is home. We soft-opened in January, held our ribbon cutting with the Boulder Chamber in March, and have completed over a hundred jobs since. My role at RTW is Head of Installs. Every project that goes out has an in-house project manager on site, real-time updates for the homeowner, photos, progress videos, and a final walkthrough before we leave. We're members of the NWFA and manage every project to industry standards. The goal is simple: nobody should feel like a stranger in their own home on install day. I have three daughters and a strong belief that this industry can be done with a lot more honesty than it usually is.
