Vanessa Getty

Vanessa Getty is a San Francisco philanthropist, animal welfare advocate, and civic leader whose work has helped shape Bay Area charitable giving for more than two decades. Born and raised in San Francisco, she graduated from UCLA and married Billy Getty in 1999; the couple has three children and remains closely rooted in the city's cultural and civic life. Getty founded San Francisco Bay Humane Friends in 2005, building a mobile spay-neuter and vaccination program that has reduced animal surrender rates across Bay Area communities. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA and is actively raising funds to support shelters in California's Central Valley.
