We're writing a personal finance feature on what AI has actually changed in people's earnings and job prospects, with real numbers rather than predictions. We want first-hand cases from employees, freelancers and the self-employed. We're looking for: career coaches who work with individual employees and freelancers, personal finance advisors and financial planners with clients affected by AI, labor market analysts, accountants and bookkeepers for freelancers, or journalists who cover work and personal finance, who can share their own case or a client's (anonymized).
Please include in your answer:
- your country, your profession and your seniority
- what AI changed in your job: tasks automated, hours cut, clients or contracts lost, a new tool that made you faster
- the effect on your income in your currency (per month or per year), before and after
- if you retrained: what it cost (courses, certificates, time without pay) and how long it took to get back to the same income, or higher
- what you would do differently, and the one skill that paid off most
- whether you changed how you save or plan your money because of it (emergency fund size, side income, insurance)
What we don't want: forecasts about the future of work, generic advice on learning AI tools, corporate hiring or HR strategy, leadership or business-owner views, tool vendors and training providers pitching their products, and answers without figures.
Deadline: Oct 20th, 2026 11:59 PM (May close early)
