My career in web technology spans 25 years, taking me through at least two dot-com booms and a wide variety of companies from start-up to global in scale. I have enjoyed success as a technology leader with a strong product-led engineering and consultancy background, and as a tech entrepreneur, founding and exiting a successful software business. I am passionate about communication: the power of speech to inspire, to bring about change, and to share ideas; I have given a TED talk on inspiration, and enjoy speaking at tech and cultural events, and on podcasts, radio, and TV.
