Salvatore Barberi

I’m the founder of InRome Cooking, and food and hospitality have always been part of my life. I grew up in Rome in a family deeply connected to the restaurant world: my parents, Gilda and Lorenzo Barberi, ran the historic Il Passetto restaurant near Piazza Navona, where I was surrounded from an early age by Roman recipes, the rhythms of a busy kitchen, and the joy of welcoming people around the table. With InRome Cooking, I wanted to carry that family tradition forward in a new way, giving travelers the opportunity to experience Italian culture through food. Today, my goal is to create authentic, hands-on experiences where guests can cook, share, and discover the traditions, flavors, and hospitality that have always been at the heart of my family.
