Lon Otto's most recent book publication is The Flower Trade, a novel (Brighthorse Books). He also has published three collections of stories—A Nest of Hooks (University of Iowa Press), winner of the Iowa School of Letters Award for Short Fiction; Cover Me (Coffee House Press); and A Man in Trouble: Stories (Brighthorse Books) His fiction has appeared in magazines such as Colorado Review, Prairie Schooner, Great River Review, American Fiction, and Water-Stone Review, is in a number of anthologies, including Flash Fiction and Flash Fiction Forward (W.W. Norton), Blink and Blink Again (Spout Press), and Not Normal, Illinois (Indiana University Press), and has been broadcast on NPR’s Selected Shorts and All Things Considered.
