I used to be a mechanical engineer in the construction field, but in 2016 I completely changed my life and founded Asala Living in Marrakesh. Asala is more than a business for me; it is my way to escape from what I did not choose in my life and return back to myself, by creating authentic Moroccan handmade home decor in collaboration with local artisans and cooperatives. ​ With Asala Living, I was among the very first in Morocco to start transforming traditional handmade rugs into modular sofas and floor cushions, turning ancestral weaving into contemporary, comfortable living spaces for homes around the world.
