I was born in Puerto Rico, and at the age of 14, my parents moved to the United States. I married Samuel Santos 38 years ago, and I am the proud mother of two daughters, Lizette and Carina Santos. I completed a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Illinois State University and a master’s degree from the University of Chicago. I hold active School Social Worker certificates in both Illinois and Florida. I consider myself a passionate advocate for special education and have dedicated my life to supporting parents and children with special needs. I am the mother of a child with Autism and another with ADHD/LD. I can understand and connect with families facing similar challenges.
