From the beginning at my first retail job, it simply never felt right. I joined the United States Marine Corps for the opportunity to travel, learn and expand my horizons. It changed my life beyond expectations. I learned to follow and then to lead. I learned to think outside the box, that anything can be accomplished no matter the odds. Struggles in my transition out of the military only helped push me in the right direction. I tried law enforcement, seeking a new purpose and a way to continue serving the community but my injuries after the military prevented me from accomplishing that goal.
