Ashutosh Bhargave is a credit risk executive and independent researcher working on empirical credit risk measurement, underwriting and portfolio strategy, and the governance of AI in lending decisions. He owns end-to-end underwriting and portfolio management for a consumer lending portfolio exceeding $1 billion in managed receivables, spanning pre- and post-origination decisioning, portfolio monitoring and loss performance, and the integration of machine learning and third-party AI services into production systems. His research uses public data to answer questions practitioners actually face.
