Dr. Ashanthi Gajaweera MD, MSCP, DipABPN

Ashanthi Gajaweera, MD, is a board-certified neurologist and founder of Healthspan Neurology, a practice built on a fact most physicians still overlook: dementia biology begins changing up to two decades before symptoms appear, making midlife the critical window for prevention. Her message is simple: the majority of dementia cases are preventable, and the evidence is unambiguous and actionable. For women, who comprise two-thirds of all dementia cases, that window coincides directly with the menopause transition. With 25+ years of clinical experience and rare dual expertise as a neurologist and Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, she brings a perspective virtually unmatched in clinical practice.
