Amadeus Carnegie is the founder of Cognito Education. While studying Medicine at Cambridge, he tutored science and maths on the side. To help his students with the trickier topics, he started making videos using the study techniques he'd found useful himself: clear worked examples, spaced practice, and active recall. The videos went onto YouTube, and the channel now has over a million subscribers, mostly students working through GCSE and A-Level science and maths. Cognito grew out of that audience: a full study platform for the same subjects, built by the team he now runs as CEO.
