I am an independent content creator who focuses on sustainability issues related to water infrastructure and the built environment. I have a deep working knowledge of hydropower, dams, and how our working rivers affect the region's ecology, environment, and economy. My independent YouTube channel @ArmchairEngineer focuses on showing the lesser-known aspects of our hydro system, including the controversies around the lower Snake River dams . My role as executive director at the Center for Sustainability and Working Rivers allows me to bring together perspectives in the agriculture, shipping, and utilities worlds, helping to take complicated subjects and make them understandable to an everyday audience.
